2025 Golf Tournament

What: 18-hole Scramble Golf Tournament, BBQ, and prizes!

Where: Golf Mont Cascades

When: Monday, September 29, 2025

Timeline: Bus departs the Laff at 10:30am SHARP! 11am BBQ. 12:30pm tee off

PAR THEN BAR: 6:30pm return to the Laff for the After Party; drinks, prize hand out, and awards.

BBQ: 1 burger and sausage each (sorry, no substitutions)

Cost: $700 per team or $175 per person (individual sign ups are limited)

- First and last name for each player
- Phone number for the team captain
- Number of players taking the bus.
(Bus limited to 60 spots! First paid, first served. The tournament fee includes the bus and there is no opt out.)

Payment accepted by e-transfer to orders@thelaff.ca (please write the names of the players in the comments). You can also pay at the Laff by cash, credit, or debit.

LE 5-STAR MONDAY BAND À 20H

5-Star Mondays with Dave Bignell and the band!! After working at the Chateau Lafayette for over 20 years as the soundman for the Lucky Ron Show, Dave Bignell now has his own regular show on Monday nights - Five Star Mondays. Drawing on his background of rock, funk, country, jazz, & blues, he performs a selection of his original songs as well as an eclectic assortment of tunes from a wide variety of musical genres for your listening pleasure ! He played with The Hammerheads for Lucky Ron’s wedding, but for the Five Star Mondays Dave will be backed up by a small combo of well known Ottawa musicians : Peter Von Althen /Drums, Ned Pitt / Bass, Fred Guignion /Guitar. What to do on the chillest, most exclusive night of the week ? Check out the 5-Star Monday Night at Ottawa’s Historic Chateau Lafayette !

LE CÉLÈBRE OPEN MIC DU MARDI SOIR À 20H

Tuesday Night World Famous Open Mic Night is Ottawa’s BEST Open Mic!! Okay, that’s according to us, but we’re not foolin! Our stage draws plethora of talented local musicians to stretch their stage legs and sing for you all. Sign ups start after 7pm, and music starts at 8pm. Our host with the most, John Carroll, ensures that there is time for all musicians who sign up to perform. House guitar available, and we encourage musicians over karaoke sing-along style. Come on out and claim your moment in the spotlight!

LE JOHN CARROLL SHOW À 20H

Local blues musician, John Carroll, has been filling the walls of the Laff with his unique blend of blues and soul for over 20 years. His Wednesday night show is just the ticket to get you over the mid-week hump. Find him every Wednesday, starting at 8pm, and playing all night long. No cover charge, no reservations, no tickets required.

Fire'd Up le vendredi soir à 21 heures

Chaque semaine, nous invitons un trio local différent à monter sur scène. Le meilleur mélange de musiciens locaux qu'Ottawa a à offrir vous apporte sa marque de reprises et d'originaux, pour faire durer la soirée. Aucune couverture, aucune réservation, aucun billet requis ! Apportez vos chaussures de danse !

Le samedi

Le Lucky Ron Show à 16h

Une véritable légende dans la vallée de l'Outaouais. Le Lucky Ron Show est un pilier du Laff depuis 1999 ; il se produit tous les samedis de 16 à 20 heures. En mars 2023, nous avons élargi le Lucky Ron Show pour inclure des solos et des duos de musique country locale pour ouvrir le spectacle. Pendant l'entracte, nous avons prévu d'excellents instrumentistes, ainsi que des danseurs ! Consultez le calendrier ci-dessus pour voir qui rejoindra Lucky Ron sur la scène emblématique.

Alors mettez-vous en selle, prenez un verre et préparez-vous à marcher, à crier, à hululer et à brailler tout au long du plus grand plaisir que vous aurez un samedi après-midi à Ottawa. Aucune couverture, aucune réservation, aucun billet n'est requis !

L'après-midi du dimanche de 15h à 18h

Every Sunday afternoon from 3-6pm, entertainment abounds! Acoustic solos and duos bring you some great tunes - it’s like an old fashioned kitchen party. On the last Sunday of every month, we invite some of the best performers from Open Mic to play their own sets, many of them for the first time! These are acts that have shown extreme talent and have played consistently at our Open Mic on Tuesday nights over the years. They just need their shot at a paid gig, and we’re excited to be able to facilitate that for them. Check the calendar for up to date lineups. And as always, there’s no cover charge, and we don’t take reservations.

Sunday evening tunes 8pm

We’re all about great live music, and Sundays are no exception as we highlighting the best female acts in Ottawa! Catch some duos and vinyl DJs from the Ottawa area, playing great covers from 8pm to midnight. Get up and dance!
